The Mama Temple is seeking your contributions of artwork, stories, wisdom, perspective, and experience. You, as Artists, Mothers, Birthing Humans, Maternal Health Experts, are invited to participate in this collaboration for the July 2024 show at The Bunker SLO, in San Luis Obispo, California.

Theme: MOTHERHOOD
Submission Deadline: May 1st, 2024
I am looking for submissions that represent the experiences surrounding Motherhood and the dynamics related to Motherhood. This includes the societally or self-defined “good” and “bad” parts. Simply, we are looking for expressions of the eclectic realities of the Motherhood journey.
The Mama Temple is seeking 2D and 3D artwork, poetry, birth stories, mother stories, film/video work, maternal health educators to give workshops, performers for weekend events, art workshops, music, and more!
Guidelines
Artists may submit up to three (3) works.
Original works in any two or three-dimensional fine art medium.
Three-dimensional art MUST be able to hang on the wall.
Works must be ready-to-hang.
Preference to works available for sale.
Open to all Artists.
How To Enter
There are no entry fees to apply.
Artist applicants submit photos and descriptions of artwork and an artist statement.
If selected the artist agrees to a 35% commission rate of sales to the gallery, The Bunker SLO.

Jury Criteria
• Excellence and skill in the execution of Artworks.
Compelling and thoughtful artist statement that broadens audience perspective of the exhibition theme of Motherhood.
High-level of commitment to the process and creation of artwork.
Clear, professional-quality digital images of the artwork.
Artists chosen will be notified by May 25th, 2024.
Selected artworks due, delivered or shipped, by June 10th, 2024, in San Luis Obispo, CA. Delivery address TBA.
All shipped work must include return postage. Unsold work must be picked up by August 1st. Shipped work will be in the post by August 10th.

About myself…
My name is Jennifer Randall.
I am an Artist, Writer, historical property renovator, and a single mother of two - raised three. Though all are adults now, I am still a Mom and I am still navigating with my Postpartum life.
My biggest joy is creating and collaborating in art and in my personal life as well. The Mama Temple is the most recent project I am working on, drawing in others from many fields and backgrounds to explore Motherhood in all its experiences.
